A H Smith's current work is an exploration of the Rancocas Creek and its relationship to Mount Holly. He works primarily in acrylic on canvas with the mixed media addition of graphite and Prismacolor. He chooses to enhance his paintings with mark making.

 

"I have attempted to interpret the creek and its environs in a variety of ways. Working between realism and abstraction, I have tried to capture the essence of the creek...from black and white value studies to color impressions."
